Forexample, the Samsung Vibrant and Captivate do not have LEDindicators. Some phones only have a two-color LED (the HTC Eris andEvo 4G both have a green/amber LED; the Epic 4G supports a red/blueLED) which might allow for partial functionality from this app(especially if rooted).LED functionality works wonderfully for the Motorola Droid-classphones (original Droid, Droid X, Droid 2, Droid 2 Global,Milestone). If your phone has a multi-color LED indicator and youhave problems get the app to work, please contact me for debuggingoptions.PERMISSIONS INFOreceive SMS: app will step-aside when SMS/text is received toallow the blinking-green SMS notification to take control of theLED so that BattMonX does not interfere with the text notification;SMS message is NOT read or parsedmodify SD card: write/read temporary file to scan for batterystatus files and LED notification's brightness files (to make appcompatible with a wider-variety of phones); there is also an optionto enable logging of debugging messages to the SD cardwake-lock: keep CPU awake for approx. one minute after screen isturned-off or un-plugged so that LED status is updatedvibrate: used for the low-battery percent or high-batterytemperature alerting optionsstart at boot: optionally allow app to be automaticallyrestarted after a reboot---------------------------For screen shots and additional information, please visithttps://sites.google.com/site/scaryalienwarePlease contact me at [email protected] if youhave any issues, questions, comments, or suggestions. AF Rescue 2 1.0
scary alien
This app attempts to launch theMyPhoneExplorer Client app for those whose touch screens no longerfunction and wish to retrieve files and information from theirdevices.Note: this app (and the companion AF Rescue app) do not work onall devices or versions of Android; it seems that newer versions ofAndroid will not autostart apps that listen for various intents(like a system reboot or new app install) unless the app has beenpreviously manually launched (which is kind of hard to do if yourtouch screen is not functioning).Anyway, to use this app:1. Install the MyPhoneExplorer Client via the Google PlayMarket's install feature:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client2. Next, install this app (AF Rescue 2) from the Google PlayMarket3. To get my app to launch, you'll have to reboot or installanother app from the Google Play Market (I've added a listener fora new app install intent to make it easier to try to launch theapp)Best of luck--sorry if this doesn't work on your device, but Ihope it does :).
